The M&A Advisor named Adam Ghander, a partner in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department and co-chair of the firm’s Private Equity Group, as one of the 2017 winners of its Emerging Leaders Awards, recognizing him as a rising star in mergers and acquisitions.
The annual Emerging Leaders Awards celebrate the achievements of young M&A, financing, and turnaround professionals who had reached a significant level of success and made a notable contribution to their industry and community. The M&A Advisor created this recognition awards program to promote mentorship and professional development among the emerging leaders of the industry. Founded in 1998, The M&A Advisor was the first dedicated media company to offer insights and intelligence on mergers and acquisitions.
“Adam’s sophisticated transactional experience, sensitivity to the client perspective, and deal-making pragmatism resonates with clients,” said Michael Krebs, chair of the Corporate and Transactions Department at Nutter. “Adam has established himself as a trusted advisor to public company acquirers and financial sponsors in the middle market.”
Ghander was selected for his accomplishments and expertise from a pool of nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders. He represents strategic acquirers, middle market sponsors, and emerging companies in private capital finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters. Ghander works extensively in industries such as manufacturing, high technology, financial services, and food and beverage. He has guided acquirers and targets through auctions, structured earn outs and valuations adjustments, and counseled officers and directors on fiduciary duties in the context of significant corporate transactions.
Active in the business community, Ghander is a member of the board of directors of the Boston Chapter of the Associate for Corporate Growth, an adjunct professor at the Boston University School of Management, and a member of the Advisory Board of The Capital Network, a non-profit organization committed to assisting and educating early-stage entrepreneurs. Ghander is also a member-elect of the Board of Trustees of Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Ghander will be honored at The M&A Advisor’s 8th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards Gala at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan on September 19.
