Roger Wilson

Roger Wilson is a Senior Vice President for Truist Financial Corporation.  He is currently a senior originator on the Corporate Finance team.  

Since being named to this position in July, 2017, Roger has been the top performer on the Corporate Finance team for the last 5 years and was awarded the TPA award 3 out of the last 4 years. Previous to the role in Corporate Finance, Roger was an originator on the Leverage Finance team at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.  Roger joined STRH in 2007, and led the origination effort for Corporate Banking in the Southeast and Midwest. With more than 18 years of banking experience, he previously served as an Associate at Scotia Capital in New York City, in Leverage Finance.  Prior to business school, Roger was a technology and management consultant in both New York City and Atlanta for CSC Consulting.

Roger is passionate is about supporting his community, with a focus on education.  Roger is an Odyssey Hero for the last 4 years, which is an organization dedicated to providing alternative summer school opportunities.  In addition, he has been a Principal Circle supporter of Westminster Schools for 10 years, and supported United Way for 15+ years.  Additionally, Roger is active member of Northside United Methodist Church, and has helped coach youth basketball.

Wilson earned a bachelors degree in Economics and Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.  He then went on to earn a MBA fin Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University. When he isn't working, Roger enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and enjoying the outdoors.
