17th Annual Economic Update

Mark A. Malone is a Managing Director and Head of Investments and Advice for Greater Florida with J. P. Morgan Private Bank in Tampa, Florida. He manages an investment desk that provides advice on portfolio construction, asset allocation, manager selection, and opportunistic trading across both public and private markets.

Mr. Malone is a 30-year veteran of the finance industry. He started his career at Merrill Lynch immediately after college, working in the Mutual Fund Trading area covering several domestic and international fund families before joining the Municipal Bond division as a Specialist focused on high net-worth clients. He was later named Vice-President and Manager of the Southeast Region for Municipal Bonds where he led a team focused on fixed income and cash management strategies for high net-worth clients.

In 2005, Mr. Malone joined the Private Banking and Investment Group of Merrill Lynch as a First Vice-President and Senior Private Wealth Relationship Manager focusing on wealth and investment management strategies for ultra-high net-worth families. In this role, he was responsible for portfolio construction, implementing investment strategies as well as communicating and assisting with various daily trading and market related themes.

Mr. Malone earned his bachelor degree in Business Management and Economics from the University of North Florida and holds a Certified Investment Manger Analyst designation from the Investments and Wealth Institute.

Travis Damon is an Executive Director and Team Lead in the Orlando office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Travis directs a group of Private Bankers in delivering sophisticated advice and institutional access to prominent entrepreneurs, family offices, business founders—many of whom are first-generation wealth creators—and their families. He serves as a champion to scale the resources of J.P. Morgan in a truly bespoke manner.

Travis drives the firm’s business impact in the region, ensuring a client-first mission in everything he and his team do. They utilize a holistic process that harnesses the exceptional capabilities of J.P. Morgan to provide comprehensive wealth planning, investments, banking, lending and charitable giving strategies.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2011, Travis earned a Master of International Business and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida, where he graduated cum laude. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Proud residents of Orlando, he and his wife, Romina, enjoy traveling and spending time with family. Travis prioritizes giving back to his hometown by serving on the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, which provides a home away from home for families with children receiving critical medical care in the area. He is also a member of the Entrepreneurs Alliance of Orlando, which serves as a catalyst to elevate entrepreneurship in the local business community ecosystem.
