Passion | Perseverance | Connection to Community

Migration Brewing's growth story is a testament to passion, perseverance, and a deep connection to the community. What began in 2010 as a modest neighborhood brewpub in Northeast Portland has blossomed into a celebrated brewery with multiple locations across the city.

Founded by four friends with a shared love for craft beer, Migration Brewing quickly gained popularity for its meticulously crafted brews and inviting atmosphere. Their commitment to quality, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, resonated with Portland's discerning beer enthusiasts. Migration Brewing continues to innovate and expand while staying true to its roots. With a dedicated team and a passionate following, they are poised to write the next chapter in Portland's craft beer legacy, embodying the spirit of creativity, community, and quality that defines their brand.

Join us for an engaging presentation from McKean Banzer-Lausberg, CEO, and Founder, while enjoying a pint or two at the Migration Rooftop at Canvas.

MIGRATION BREWING HAS BEEN SELECTED AS THE 2024 SBA OREGON BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

An Oregon brewery has been selected as Oregon’s 2024 Small Business of the Year. Portland’s Migration Brewing is the first Oregon craft brewery to win this award. As part of the SBA’s national small business week celebration, Migration Brewing represented Oregon at the official award ceremony in Washington D.C. April 28 – 29, 2024.  Since 1964, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs.

This year’s celebration will be April 28 – May 4 and will spotlight the resilience of small business owners who are doing their part to power our nation’s economic comeback. The event will honor 33 million small businesses for their perseverance, ingenuity, triumphs and creativity.  More than 60 small business owners from 50 states are being recognized and are in the running for a national award.

“We are extremely humbled and excited about this company achievement,” stated Migration Brewing’s CEO & Co-Founder McKean Banzer-Lausberg. “Migration has worked with the SBA since we opened in 2010 when we used an equipment loan to purchase our first brewing system.  Their support over the past 15 years has been instrumental to our company’s success.”
