John Astrab

Managing Director

John Astrab is the West Florida Managing Director for BMO’s Middle Market and Corporate Banking Group.  John has been with BMO since October 2021.  Prior to BMO Mr. Astrab was a Senior Vice President of Corporate Banking at PNC Bank where he spent 8 years covering West Florida.  John started his career in Tampa with M&I Bank, which was acquired by BMO in 2010, in their Corporate Bank Training Program. John is a graduate of Fordham University where he majored in Finance and Economics and was a four-year letterman in Cross Country and Track and Field.

Chris Hart is Managing Partner and co-founder of Keswick and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee. Chris is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm as well as deal sourcing, structuring and executing transactions, due diligence, portfolio management, and investor relations.

Prior to co-founding Keswick, Chris was a Partner at KLH Capital, where he spent thirteen years investing in lower middle-market businesses across four investment funds.

Chris received a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Steve Stagg

Steve has over 25 years of financial services and real estate experience advising CFOs, CEOs and business owners on cash management, capital structure, valuation, industry trends, financial forecasting, succession planning, and other strategic alternatives.

He was most recently Tampa Bay Market President for Beach Bank, where he led the bank’s successful de novo expansion in Tampa, generating over $175MM in loan commitments and $125MM in core deposits in less than 3 years.

Prior to Beach, Steve was Commercial Bank Executive – West Florida Region and Tampa Market Executive for Regions Bank, generating over $1BB in loan commitments in middle market M&A, private equity and traditional middle market financings from 2013-2018. Criticized assets declined from over 28% of portfolio to below 2% during his tenure.

Previously, he was the CFO for Harrod Properties and President of Florida Bank.  He also has experience in M&A investment banking and private wealth management with predecessors to Wells Fargo and Bank of America.

Steve earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar (top 5%) and was selected as a Teaching Assistant for Corporate Finance and Advanced Corporate Finance.  Steve’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Florida.  Additionally, Steve is a Certified Valuation Analyst.

A Tampa native, Steve has been involved in numerous local charities, and he currently serves as the Vice-Chair of Zoo Tampa.  He was President of Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) – Tampa Bay in 2018 and 2019.  Steve is a Trustee of the City of Tampa General Employees’ Pension Fund, and he has twice been a public member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee.

Michael M. Mills Jr. is a partner in Holland & Knight's Tampa office. He practices in the areas of corporate law, securities, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Mr. Mills advises clients on securities offerings, SEC periodic reporting, corporate governance, NYSE and NASDAQ regulations, mergers and acquisitions and other business and tax matters.

In the area of securities and capital markets, Mr. Mills has experience in advising clients on public and private securities offerings, SEC periodic reporting and proxy statements, Section 16 compliance, corporate governance and other business and tax matters.

Mr. Mills advises public companies, boards of directors, audit committees and special committees on disclosure, governance and compliance matters arising out of SEC rules and regulations, stock exchange rules (including corporate governance rules) and various corporate laws, including defending against shareholder activism and advising during proxy fights.

His experience in mergers and acquisitions extends to transactions involving both public and private companies, as well as matters involving applicable international and regulatory issues.
