CEO Leadership Series
Innovation at the Speed of Private Equity
Tuesday, November 4, 2014
7:30am - 9:45am
Harvard Club, 35 W. 44th Street, Biddle Room, 3rd Floor
The ACG New York CEO Leadership Series is now entering its third year. It is a series of events on topics of interest to CEO’s of private equity operating companies, CEO’s or division heads of large corporates, and PE operating and investment partners interested in knowing what CEO’s are thinking. Past programs have drawn between 120 and 140 participants, consisting of CEO’s, presidents of corporate divisions, PE investment partners, PE operating partners, and other members of the NYC and CT PE community.
Some people say that PE-owned operating companies don’t innovate “true” new products because the exit horizon does not permit going through the whole development cycle and then reaping enough of the benefits before selling. Other people don’t believe that.
Join ACG and keynote speaker Garrett Dietz, CEO of GEN3 Partners, a technical innovation solutions provider that delivers product, process and packaging innovation services. Their team is comprised primarily of scientists and engineers (over half hold PhD's) with expertise and experience in the innovation process. The panel will consist of private equity operating partners and portfolio company CEO’s with war stories about PE-owned operating companies developing products from concept through commercialization to generate a good return within the “standard” PE time horizon.
