Tyler joined Pinnacle Financial Partners in 2016 and is Managing Director and Counsel for PNFP Capital
Markets, Inc., where he is responsible for leading the origination and execution of transactions across
various industries in the middle market. Tyler primarily represents family-owned and founder-owned
businesses and closely-held companies in mergers and acquisitions (mostly on the sell-side) and as
issuers in private offerings of debt and equity. He also advises clients on strategic opportunities, capital
structure and capital alternatives, and valuation.
In addition, Tyler is responsible for strategy and business development for the investment banking group
with an emphasis on growth in mergers and acquisitions advisory services to serve more clients. He also
focuses on developing and expanding relationships with private equity firms and family offices.
Prior to Pinnacle, Tyler practiced law at a regional law firm in the Southeast. As an attorney, Tyler
advised businesses and business owners on corporate transactions, succession planning, and estate
planning. Tyler also represented corporate clients in insurance litigation in state and federal courts.
Tyler earned his BA, JD, and MBA all from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Tyler actively supports
his alma mater where he currently serves on the College of Law Alumni Council. He also participates on
local not-for-profit boards. Tyler and his wife, Abigail, live in Nashville with their two children, attend
Christ Presbyterian Church, and enjoy cooking, traveling, and cheering for the Volunteers.
Tyler holds the Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses.
