Founder and Chairman Paul Thompson
Globally recognized supply chain innovator, business leader and humanitarian, Paul Thompson is the Founder and Chairman of Transportation Insight, the flagship brand in his corporate portfolio. Thompson is known for his entrepreneurial achievements as founder or co-founder of eight highly successful North American companies. He was recently honored as the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2015 Southeast Award Recipient in the Services category. The award recognizes those who demonstrate extraordinary success in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
Founded in 1999, Transportation Insight is considered to be one of the largest and most recognized Enterprise Logistics Providers in North America serving more than 1,000 long-term clients with a robust portfolio of end-to-end supply chain services. The company has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States every year since 2008.
Thompson graduated with honors in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas and has 25 years executive experience in supply chain. He serves on the board of numerous non-profit organizations and established the Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship at Appalachian State University. Thompson also devotes significant time and resources to non-profit organizations such as Samaritan’s Feet, Restore Global and many other humanitarian organizations.
