Successful Successions: The Three Generation Legacy of AJ Silberman and Company

You may not be familiar with AJ Silberman, but if you've bought candy, ice cream, chips or coffee from a convenience store, newsstand or grocer in Pennsylvania, it's likely that you purchased a product distributed by the 82-year-old company. What started in 1935 with two brothers, 7 and a red wagon full products, has grown into a major distributor of snacks, coffee, beverages, ice cream and seasonal items to thousands of retail customers across a seven-state region.

Today, the fate of the company rests in the capable hands of President & CEO Lisa Silberman, who succeeded her brother Mark who passed away in 2014, prior to that the passing of her oldest brother David who passed away in 2004 and her beloved father in 1997.

Join us at the ACG Women's Luncheon on March 28th to hear the AJ Silberman story and how Lisa juggles the demands of the still growing company while working to preserve her family's legacy that has endured for three generations.

Location: Morton's Steakhouse
