Vince Tyra

Mr. Tyra is Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, M&A for Houchens Industries, a diversified, employee-owned holding company with revenues exceeding $4 billion.  Prior to that, he served as the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics for the University of Louisville for just over four years.  Mr. Tyra brings significant executive-level operating experience, having previously served as a Partner with Southfield Capital and Southfield Mezzanine Capital.  Mr. Tyra still maintains an advisory role as an Operating Partner for Southfield Mezzanine Capital.  He previously served as President and CEO of ISCO Industries, a global customized piping solutions provider; CEO of alphabroder, an industry leading wholesale distributor of imprintable activewear owned by Bain Capital, and President of Retail and Activewear at Fruit of the Loom.  

Mr. Tyra is currently Chairman of Elite Medical Staffing and a board member of Togo’s, two portfolio companies of Southfield Mezzanine Capital. He has previously served on several boards, serving as Chairman of both public and privately owned companies.

Mr. Tyra graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. degree in Health Administration, where he also was a two-year captain of the baseball team.
