LOUISVILLE -- The Mid-South ACG Capital Connection returns to Louisville this June 14-16, bringing together growth companies, private equity firms, investment banks and a wide variety of professional advisors involved in arranging and completing mergers, acquisitions and corporate transactions.
Hosted at Omni Louisville, the conference attracts professionals from across the country. Registration opened this week (click https://tinyurl.com/2023MidSouthREG to sign up for the conference).
“As with all of our Capital Connection events, this year’s conference provides deal professionals a great opportunity to secure capital and operating partners, learn about market trends, discover new directions, build meaningful connections and bring value to their companies," said Josh O’Bryan, partner at Frost Brown Todd PLLC and chair of the 2023 event. “We’re excited about this conference and the ability to showcase Louisville and the Commonwealth.”
Mid-South is staged jointly by the Kentucky and Tennessee chapters of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), helping dealmakers identify funding sources and advisory professionals who support transactions through accounting, legal, valuation and other services.
Expert industry and economic panels -- to be announced separately -- explore trends and issues to guide dealmakers. Additionally, Mid-South features private equity and investment banking marketplaces, the ability for individuals to schedule one-on-one deal meetings and to participate in business-building networking opportunities.
Bourbonism is one of the themes of this year’s Mid-South experience. With more bourbon barrels aging in rickhouses (11.5 million) than Kentucky residents (4.5 million), bourbon is a $9 billion signature industry with economic and cultural impacts that rival the power of the Kentucky Derby. With a Mid-South evening event at Churchill Downs, the conference also pays homage to Louisville’s exciting horse racing heritage.
More economic horsepower is on display. Kentucky’s Ford, Toyota and Corvette assembly plants and their vast supplier ecosystem long have churned out hundreds of thousands of vehicles. And with the industry rapidly transitioning from gasoline to electric power, EV battery manufacturers are investing billions of dollars in Kentucky to build new capacity.
The economy also benefits from Louisville’s position as a dynamic logistics hub, its well-developed healthcare and eldercare sectors, cutting edge research universities, and consumer appliance expertise – all supplemented by a thriving arts scene, culinary excellence and an easy quality of life.
Discounted early registration rates are available until March 31. ACG members and non-members, private equity groups, investment bankers and business professionals can register at https://tinyurl.com/2023MidSouthREG.
