Robert S. Wynne, Partner, Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, Indianapolis. Wynne represents financial institutions and public and private company borrowers in connection with a broad spectrum of financing transactions, including single lender transactions, syndicated originations, restructurings and recapitalizations. Rob has extensive experience in representing clients in mergers, acquisitions, management buyouts and corporate dispositions. In addition, Rob represents private and public company clients in connection with the structuring and negotiation of economic business relationships, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, distribution agreements, and supply and requirements contracts.
Kolin Holladay, Shareholder, Polsinelli, Nashville. As a previous small business owner himself, Kolin has first-hand insight into the steps involved with business acquisitions, as well as selling a business to strategic partners. He brings a broad perspective to clients’ business operations and strategic plans and typically serves as outside general counsel to middle-market companies.Some of the industries in which Kolin has experience include health care, entertainment, service, technology, consumer products, retail, finance, and restaurant sectors. His practice areas focus on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and capital formation, advising corporate boards, contract negotiation and interpretation
Edward E. Steiner, Partner, Squire Patton Boggs, Cincinnati. Steiner is a member of the Global Corporate Practice Group. The focus of his practice is corporate, securities and financing law, where he has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures representing both public and closely held corporations and other entities. He also represents investment-limited partnerships in venture capital and private equity investment transactions, including investment partnerships that utilize New Markets Tax Credits. He has significant experience in initial and follow-on public offerings of securities, and in representing issuers and investors in private placements of securities.
The panel will be moderated by John Sweeney, managing director of Hilliard Lyons Investment Banking. Sweeney's background includes experience as a partner with Southern Capital Corporation, a Richmond-based private equity firm, and work in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Morgan Stanley Investment Banking and with the FIG-Insurance Group at CS First Boston.
