At the August 2017 Peer Group meeting, Brendan Collins and Andrew Nolan of KPMG presented a broad overview on the subject of merger integration.  We know different companies have different approaches to corporate M&A and integration, and as a result, they have learned different lessons.  We’ve asked a group of Peer Group members and past attendees to start a group conversation about the lessons they have learned, and tell war stories from their actual experiences.  Our Peer Group is very fortunate to have such seasoned people attending regularly and it’s the sharing of the cumulative knowledge that we hope makes attending Peer Group practical and useful for you.
Please come prepared to participate and share your experiences on integration topics including, but not limited to:
  • How long does it take to get a newly purchased entity up and running (financial reporting and ERP systems), via integration?
  • Cultural integration, how long does it take to get everyone “on the same train”?
  • Have cross-selling opportunities materialized and resulted in top line revenue growth?
  • Have cost savings or synergies reduced operating expenses?
We hope you will attend to be a part of the conversation, to share your experiences or ask questions, and to engage with your Peer Group.
