About Transracial Journeys
Transracial Journeys supports and uplifts transracially adopted individuals and their families, recognizing that community is essential at every stage. Founded in 2013, the organization provides a space where children find belonging, parents find support, and families find community as they navigate the unique challenges of adoption, identity, and racial differences.
Each year, Transracial Journeys hosts its Annual Family Camp, a four-day experience where children and adults alike discover understanding and acceptance. Children bond with peers and explore their identities with the guidance of counselors, while parents engage in enriching sessions led by experts.
For many, the TRJ Camp is more than a gathering—it’s a place to be seen, heard, and truly belong. Connections made here often grow into lifelong friendships. Many older campers return as counselors-in-training, stepping into leadership roles to help new families find their own sense of belonging.
Transracial Journeys fosters this belonging, ensuring every family leaves knowing they are part of a supportive community that truly understands their journey.
