Please join Brandon Richter, a Partner at Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners, and Jon Rubin, the Managing Partner of the Westbury Group, for a conversation about The Elusive Finish Line: The Past, Present, and Future of Successful Middle Market Dealmaking.  In this wide-ranging conversation, moderated by James Greifzu, Partner at Wiggin and Dana LLP, Jon and Brandon will discuss the realities of middle market transactions, including conflicts among various constituencies (and how to resolve them), challenges in obtaining liquidity for financial buyers and sponsors, and what effects the new administration’s policies might have on getting deals over the finish line.

BRANDON RICHTER

Brandon Richter is a Partner at Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm focused on modern industrial and business services companies.  He joined HRCP in 2010 and has led transactions, overseen portfolio company investments and is a member of the Investment and Management Committees. Brandon currently serves as a director of Custom Engineered Wheels, Sani-Matic and Zone 4. Previously he served as director of GrayMatter, W-Technology, Unifiller, Tanknology, Sound Seal and Inspire Automation. Prior to joining HRCP, he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch on deals across a variety of industry verticals. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in the technology division. Brandon received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University.

JONATHAN RUBIN

Jon Rubin is the Managing Partner of the Westbury Group, a boutique investment bank serving clients across the US and internationally. He has extensive experience in M&A deal structuring and execution, both as an advisor and as a principal. Prior to joining Westbury Group in 2005, Jon formed Abacus Capital Partners, an advisory and consulting company. He was formerly CEO of E-Sync Networks, Inc., (NSDQ: ESNI), a leader in online supply chain management. Jon has also held management positions at TeleChoice, NFO Worldwide, Southern New England Telephone and Trans National Communications. Previously, Jon worked as a management consultant for Mercer Management Consulting and Bain & Company. Jon started his career at Morgan Stanley after graduating from Yale College. He returned to Yale for his MBA. Jon holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 securities licenses from FINRA.
