Rob Smith covers healthcare for Capital Alpha, where he directs coverage on medical technology and diagnostics. He also leads the consumer staples vertical for food, beverage, and tobacco. Smith brings nearly a decade and a half of Washington experience: Prior to joining the firm in 2008, he was a lobbyist for Ceridian Corporation, where he managed the company's Capitol Hill presence on health care and tax issues. Before that, he served for five years as the top health care aide for Rep. Rick Boucher, a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce and Judiciary Committees.
