What led you to this career?

I started my career in commercial litigation, but quickly found that my interest lies in business operations and strategic planning. This more ‘proactive’ lens led me to Carleton McKenna, where I have had the opportunity to work directly with business owners on what are likely to be the most complex and important financial decisions of their lives. Strategic planning that includes M&A or capital raising as tools empowers owners to continue acting entrepreneurially or recognize the fruits of their endeavors. It’s an absolute privilege to be a trusted advisor during these transactions.

What’s something not many people know about you?

In the 1920s, my great, great aunt took a position as a housemaid at the Union Club when she emigrated here from Ireland, about 25 years before my grandmother moved here. 100 years and a full-circle later, I am honored to serve as a Trustee of the Union Club, and to be in-process for my own Irish citizenship.

What is your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for?

I love watching professional football. Although I previously had no interest, my husband got me hooked via fantasy football a few years ago, and it makes the games so much more exciting to watch. Of course, the Browns are my favorite, but I’ll watch any NFL game (preference for Tony Romo commentating) or an episode of Hard Knocks.

The Addback
