Why You Should Attend:
Would you be able to fight back if you were attacked? As professional women, we often travel alone to meetings and networking events, which sometimes means we are walking alone at night down a quiet street or through a dark parking garage. Or, maybe you enjoy walking, running, or biking by yourself. Would you know what to do if someone came up behind you?
Experts say that learning even a few basic self-defense moves will give you the mentality that you can fight back, which increases the likelihood that you will actually do something to defend yourself if you are attacked.
Join ACG WiT Cleveland for a Women’s Self Defense Class led by Jason Zakrajsek, who has 27 years of martial arts training and 22 years of teaching experience ranging from child education to working with law enforcement. He holds a 5th-degree masters in the art of Kuk Sul Do, a black belt in Gracie Jiu-jitsu, a blue belt in Judo, and has full contact MMA (UFC) fighting experience. In addition, he has helped local law enforcement and S.W.A.T. teams with ALICE protocol drills to help keep our schools and public buildings safe in the event of an active shooter, and he is educated in the nationally recognized Gracie women empowered program, which is considered the “gold standard” women’s self-defense program among law enforcement. Jason founded the Kuk Sul Do Academy in 1996 and the Fight Gym in 2007, where he teaches daily.
