Philanthropy and Exit Strategies
a case study panel discussion featuring
ACG Charlotte is pleased to co-host this monthly meeting with Foundation For The Carolinas in their beautiful, state-of-the-art meeting space at 220 North Tryon Street. Our topic will be suited to the venue -- a panel discussion of active philanthropy and how it can be incorporated into M&A and other transactions. The panel will take as its case study the 2013 growth equity transaction involving locally-owned audio-visual supplier SnapAV. We are pleased to be joined by a panel of key players in that transaction:
•SnapAV Founder Jay Faison will talk about his determination to make active philanthropy a part of the transaction;
•BlackArch Partners Managing Director Bram Hall will offer insight into how the SnapAV experience has affected how BlackArch addresses its clients' goals;
•National Christian Foundation's Piedmont affiliate President John Putnam will discuss how his group worked with Jay to ensure that he achieved his personal philanthropic and spiritual goals;
• Foundation For The Carolinas Executive Vice President and In-house Counsel Holly Welch Stubbing will lay out how FFTC helps individuals like Jay shape a philanthropic vision and put it into action.
The discussion will be moderated by ACG Charlotte Past President Tim Whitmire.
