January's Networking Breakfast features Tony Gomes, Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Legal Compliance Officer of Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS), a leader in the transition to software-defining the workplace, uniting virtualization, mobility management, networking and SaaS solutions to enable new ways for businesses and people to work better.
Citrix solutions power business mobility through secure, mobile workspaces that provide people with instant access to apps, desktops, data and communications on any device, over any network and cloud. With annual revenue in 2014 of 3.14 billion, Citrix solutions are in use at more than 400,000 organizations and by over 100 million users globally.
At Citrix, Tony leads the global legal team with responsibility for corporate governance, compliance, employee relations, intellectual property, litigation and legal support for Citrix’s commercial transactions, strategic acquisitions, investments and licensing. Most recently, Tony was appointed to Citrix’s management Steering Committee with responsibility for overseeing Citrix’s tax-free spinoff of its GoTo family of products, which is expected to be completed in the second half of 2016.
Prior to Citrix, Tony was a partner in the corporate practice of Goodwin Procter LLP and an associate at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP in Boston. Tony received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and his law degree from Boston University School of Law.
