Grace Barnwell

Grace Barnwell currently serves as Director of Corporate Finance of Bay Point and is responsible for originating and underwriting loans for the existing Bay Point funds. Prior to joining Bay Point, Grace was most recently a Senior Vice President at Cadence Bank and brings 13 years of banking and investing experience through originating, underwriting, and managing large corporate and middle-market clients in various industries including healthcare, life science, food & beverage, business services, industrials and transportation and logistics, with revenue sales between $20 million and $5 billion. She covered lower to middle market commercial and industrial clients in the Southeast and private equity sponsor-led transactions across the United States at Cadence Bank.  She previously has held roles at Capital One, SunTrust and BMO Harris Bank. At Capital One, she originated and helped manage a $2 billion portfolio, successfully leading the bank’s returns across the larger credit facilities. While at SunTrust, she was on the Corporate Finance team, a transaction-oriented execution team that was engaged when a Relationship Manager had a sponsor or a leveraged cash flow loan across all industries. In that role, she supported all Relationship Managers across the footprint in deal origination, structuring, and execution. Grace received a BS in Mathematics from the University of Georgia.
