Daniel J. Decker is the former Park President for SeaWorld® and Aquatica™ Waterpark in San Antonio, a position he held since September 2004. He was responsible for the daily operation of the world’s largest marine life park, as well as strategic planning for the park’s long-term growth. Prior to that appointment, he was the executive assistant to the president and chairman of the board for Busch Entertainment Corporation, now known as SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, as well as director of operations for Busch Entertainment Corporation, SeaWorld’s parent company. He served for almost 10 years as general manager of Grant’s Farm, a family entertainment and zoological park in St. Louis operated by Anheuser-Busch. Prior to that, Decker held positions in human resources, park operations and culinary operations at SeaWorld San Diego.
In 2015, Dan was appointed by Ivy Taylor to the Mayor’s task force for the feasibility of a re-structure of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau. He currently serves on the board and executive committee of the San Antonio Tourism Council and the Texas Travel Industry Association, as well as on the board of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, San Antonio Sports Foundation and the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute. Decker also serves on the San Antonio Airport Commission. Decker holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hartford University. In 2012, Decker was presented with Texas Travel Association Industry’s “Tall in Texas” award in honor of his outstanding contributions to the state’s travel and tourism industry.

Cancellation Policy – Cancellations received in writing to acgcentraltexas@acg.org by 5pm, March 28th will receive a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received after 5pm on March 28th. If you are an ACG Member unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to another person for this same event. If the person attending in your place is not an ACG Member, they will need to pay an additional fee to bring them up to the non-member rate to attend.
