Overview
Body
Chad McNair, CEO of McNair Java Partners
If you consider yourself a well-caffeinated worker, there’s a good chance you have Chad McNair to thank for that. His coffee business, Aspen Beverage, has been fueling customers since 1988. After relocating to San Antonio in 1993, Aspen Beverage Group grew to become a significant international player in the coffee extract business, serving major quick serve restaurants, club retailers, bottlers, roasters and distributors.
But now, Chad’s changing directions. In June of 2017, he sold Aspen Beverage to Finlays, based in London. He’s still a board member there, but he’s shifting his focus to a family investment office and several startups he carved out of the Aspen Beverage Sale.
Chad grew up in the Midwest and has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Houston. He began his career as part of a large consulting engineering group in Houston. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. Chad has been married to Dr. Shelly McNair for 29 years. Dr. McNair is a partner with Southwest Children's Center where she practices pediatrics. Chad & Shelly have two sons and a daughter.
Chad is a long-time ACG member, supporter, and friend, and he’s been sharing his insights with us throughout the years, most recently as a finalist for the 2018 ACG Central Texas Growth Awards. Now, join us to learn about the end of his time at the helm of Aspen Beverage Co., the lessons he’s learned as he’s transitioned away from the company, and his big plans for the future.
