Online registration is now CLOSED.  Walk-ins may be accommodated, if space allows based on no-shows, at the following rates : ACG Member price: 40./Non-ACG Member price: 65. This event will take place @ the Plaza Club in the Frost Bank building @ 100 W. Houston St. Suite 2100 in San Antonio. 
Complimentary self-parking for this event is available in the parking garage of the Frost Bank building.
 
“San Antonio’s Tech Movement – An Industry On The Move”
This will be a panel discussion moderated by Stephanie Chandler, Partner at Jackson Walker L.L.P..  Panelists will include Bret Piatt, CEO of Jungle Disk, Matt Wilbanks, CEO of HelpSocial, and Pat Matthews, Entrepreneur & Investor.

Cancellation Policy – Cancellations received in writing to acgcentraltexas@acg.org by 5pm, June 26th will receive a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received after 5pm on June 26th. If you are an ACG Member unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to another person for this same event. If the person attending in your place is not an ACG Member, they will need to pay an additional fee to bring them up to the non-member rate to attend.

Stephanie Chandler chairs the Corporate Practice Group for the San Antonio office of the law firm of Jackson Walker L.L.P. where she has assisted startups and emerging businesses and investors in those ventures for almost 20 years. She has guided her clients through raising capital in the equity and debt markets, mergers and acquisitions and operational matters related to technology licensing and commercialization. In addition to advising founders and investors, she serves on the Investment Committee for the Texas Research and Technology Foundation, chairs the Grant Committee for the San Antonio Medical Foundation, co-chairs the Economic Development Day for the Masters Leadership Program (where she previously co-chaired the technology day), as a Mentor for the RealCo Accelerator and has been involved in tech-based Economic Development since arriving in San Antonio in 2000. Stephanie chairs Jackson Walker’s technology practice which was recently named a recognized practice by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and Stephanie is listed by Chambers as a Recognized Practitioner in Technology: Corporate & Commercial, the only San Antonio attorney to have ever received this designation. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© for Business Organizations and has repeatedly been named San Antonio Best Lawyer, Scene in SA, 2009, 2012-2015 and 2017. She received her B.S.B.A. in finance, with highest distinction, from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Bret leads Jungle Disk as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board. Prior to Jungle Disk, he led a 300 person SaaS business unit for Rackspace serving over 75,000 small businesses. Before that he had the opportunity to lead the AT&T Managed Premises Firewall business, help create OpenStack, and lead several successful acquisitions on the Corporate Development team at Rackspace. Outside of the office Bret enjoys a good meal, live music, and spending time with his large family. He is also active helping transform San Antonio into a technology leader through community involvement with TechBloc, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, and other outreach activities.

Matt Wilbanks is CEO and Co-Founder of HelpSocial. They're a local startup that spun out of Rackspace 3 years ago where they built technology that turns social media networks into customer service channels. Today, large brands use their platform to scale social customer service efforts over large contact centers and are more increasingly looking at ways of leveraging their technology to help AI-based systems handle more of the customer service process.

Pat is an entrepreneur, operator, angel investor, and now venture capitalist. In 1999, Pat dropped out of Virginia Tech to start a dot-com with some of his best friends and college roommates. After the dot-com bubble burst, Pat and his team persevered through years of economic downturn before creating Webmail.us, a multi-million dollar software company that was recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in America by Inc. Magazine. In 2007, Webmail.us was acquired by Rackspace where Pat worked as an executive on the senior leadership team until 2013. Pat has invested in more than 50 startups and five venture capital funds and is an active board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and the San Antonio Angel Network. Pat is currently working on starting a venture capital firm focused on leading seed rounds for traction-stage software startups.
