Overview
Joel Trammell, CEO of Khorus
Just off the heels of his fourth major acquisition, serial entrepreneur and “the American CEO” Joel Trammell knows why many acquisitions fail—and more importantly, he knows how to make sure they succeed.
Trammell has been a leader in Austin’s tech scene for nearly thirty, years, having founded his first technology company in 1990. A serial entrepreneur, Joel has founded and exited multiple companies in the information technology space, including leading two of his own companies through acquisitions by Fortune 500 companies.
He was most recently CEO of Black Box, a public company headquartered in Pittsburgh. He is Chairman of the Board of Khorus, an enterprise software company he founded that provides strategy execution software for CEOs. He is also the author of The CEO Tightrope, a systematic approach to the role of Chief Executive.
All that is to say, Trammell knows a thing or two leadership. Join us to hear about his experience founding and exiting technology companies and the secrets he’s learned to ensuring successful acquisitions (and significant returns) when it’s time to exit.
