"How Adam Lyons Went from Unemployment to Building a 200M+ Company."
Would you cold email Mark Cuban? Adam Lyons did using the subject line, “Wanna disrupt the insurance industry?” It worked and 25 minutes later, Cuban responded and several weeks later he invested in The Zebra.
Today, Lyons is the Founder and Executive Chairman of The Zebra, one of Austin’s fastest-growing tech startups. The Zebra is the nation's largest car insurance comparison website with rates from more than 200 car insurance companies, providing real-time quotes.
In 2017, The Zebra announced a 40 million Series B investment led by Accel Partners and hired a new CEO, former Kayak President Keith Melnick.
Lyons is a high school dropout and graduated from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, Philadelphia, and learned about the insurance business as an intern at Lloyd’s of London.
Join us to learn about how Adam got started, found his dream investor and raised 40 million.
