Meet the Board: Ryan Bristol, Managing Director, J.P. Morgan

Introduce us to your day job, title and responsibilities.

I am a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank where I lead the Westlake Village office, which covers clients from the San Fernando Valley through the tri-counties. I have more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. I work as a Private Banker with clients who I have supported for many years and I’m tasked with growing our talent and business in the Westlake Village office for the region.

What inspired you to pursue a job in this industry?

Ever since I was a kid, I was intrigued with wealth creation. In particular, the concept that an entrepreneur can start a business with an idea in mind then create significant wealth for their family. My experience prior to entering wealth management positioned me well to advise families, executives and founders of companies so I was able to combine a lifelong interest with a job I love.

Why was it important for you to be involved in ACG 101 at the Board level?

For me, it was a challenge to help with events and try to bring great talent to the panel each month. I enjoyed creating unique events and pushing myself to create enough interest to draw a great turnout each time.

Describe your current responsibilities on the Board, if applicable.

I have loved my years on the Board, however will be moving on to join the Advisory Committee to continue supporting ACG 101.

What is your favorite thing about ACG 101?

There is no organization like ACG101 in the region that provides unique content on the middle market through events featuring C-level executives and a venue to network.
