Overview
California's $45 billion agriculture industry has long had to deal with problems like the continued drought, labor shortages, steep land prices and regulatory pressures. But this year, massive wildfires and subsequent floods have added even more obstacles to overcome.
Today these vitally important food producers have to respond to new demands from retailers and consumers and conduct business in a global market. That requires sophisticated infrastructure and technology, and the capital necessary to support their increasingly complex operations and sustain their growth.
What is the outlook for this invaluable sector of the state's economy? Come hear the opinions of industry experts at the March 7th breakfast meeting of ACG 101 at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo.
Panelists: Kevin Elms, CFO, Dole Packaged Foods, Scott Deardorff of Deardorff Family Farms, Korinne Bell, Ventura County Chief Deputy Agricultural Commissioner; and Brian Lish, President & CEO, AG RX. Moderated by Carol Suruki-Carmany, CPA. Watch your e-mail for more news!
Advance Registration: ACG Members $45; Non-Members $75. On-site registration $15 additional. – Registration open until March 6th at 4:00 PM.
