Lisa Roitman is Managing Partner at Abide Group which combines senior regulatory expertise with strategic business insight to help financial institutions turn compliance into a driver of growth. The firm's core clients are investment advisers, broker-dealers, wealth managers, banks, private and public funds, and the fintech firms who service them. Prior to joining Abide in 2025,  Lisa was the General Counsel of Rocket Loans Marketplace LLC, part of the Rocket family of companies which is focused on providing consumer lending solutions. As General Counsel she was responsible for regulatory compliance, risk and legal teams with a focus on expanding the company’s access to financing partners.

 

Prior to joining Rocket Loans, she was the General Counsel of Pollen Street Capital (US) LLC, part of the Pollen Street Capital Group, a global, independent alternative asset investment management company with offices in the US and the UK, a private equity firm with a credit strategy focus, particularly in the financial and business services sectors.

Lisa held multiple business, legal, and compliance positions throughout her career, including at Bloomberg LP (where, as business strategist, she focused on regulatory compliance technology) and at Lehman Brothers and HSBC, where she led the marketing and structuring efforts of the fund financing teams. She also previously served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for two additional SEC-registered investment advisers focused on event-driven strategies and managed futures strategies.

 

Lisa earned her LLM in International Banking Law from Boston University, her JD from New England School of Law, and her BA from Mount Holyoke College. 

Prior to Abide and its predecessor firm Adherence, Jane worked as an in-house legal and compliance lawyer for a Who’s Who of financial institutions – including Lehman Brothers (where she counseled the bankrupt entity’s derivative unwind),  Goldman Sachs & Co. (where she ran a division of their Compliance Department), Credit Suisse (where she was the interim legal manager for CSAM and its hedge fund businesses), Citibank (where she was the General Counsel to the Private Bank), and Deutsche Asset Management (legacy Bankers Trust)(where she supervised the legal and compliance department). She was also a Partner at McGuireWoods, LLP, one of the nation’s largest law firms. 

 

Until recently, Jane taught several classes in financial services regulatory compliance at Pace Law School. She has a BA from Barnard College and a JD from American University.
